FDA printing pads have a characteristic brick-red colour and an aluminum base.
Information on ordering FDA printing pads
Each FDA printing pad is named with a 4-digit number. The tampon number is preceded by the letter “T”. The pad number is moulded into the silicone and can therefore be read on the printing pad.
The pad number is followed by a hyphen and then the hardness. This is supplemented by the letters -MT-FDA. The hardness of existing printing pads can also be read on the pad base.
Example:
The FDA-compliant printing pad with shape 386 in hardness 64 Shore 00 Si has the part number: T0386-64-MT-FDA.
